Humbolt County trip

For Memorial Day weekend I went up to Humboldt County to see the Kinetic Sculpture Race and do a bit of motorcycle touring. It was a good trip, I got to see some friends from past races and see a bit of far northern california. The meadows at the highest point in Redwood National Park are amazing at this time of year--I have never seen so many wildflowers. Not only were the hills covered in bush lupine, but many smaller flowers, and you could smell them all. (And not in an overwhelming sense like the jasmine you'll find in much of the south bay).
